Q&A
I was initially drawn to a career as a therapist because of my deep curiosity about the human mind and a strong desire to help others navigate their challenges. My work is shaped by a focus on mental health, substance abuse, and forensic issues, as I believe these are all critical areas where people need support to heal and move forward. What drives me in this work is the profound impact I can have on someone's life. Helping individuals heal from mental health struggles, overcoming addiction, and finding resilience in navigating challenges, all the while creating healthier, more fulfilling lives. I’m inspired by the belief that everyone has the capacity for growth, and being a part of that transformation is incredibly rewarding to me.
My first session with you
During your first session with me, you can expect a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment. This initial meeting is a chance for us to get to know each other and for you to share what brought you into therapy. My goal is to listen carefully, understand your unique challenges, and begin to build trust. We will discuss your concerns, whether they are related to mental health, substance use, or both, and explore your goals for therapy. I'll ask questions to understand your background, experiences, and current struggles, helping us start to identify patterns and areas for focus. Together, we'll begin to create a plan for moving forward, outlining the goals and approaches that feel most comfortable and meaningful to you. I'll make sure to answer any questions you have and ensure you feel safe and supported throughout the session. Ultimately, the first session is about laying a strong foundation for our work together, so you can feel confident and empowered as we move forward in your healing journey.
